Maine Governor Janet Mills joined Mölnlycke Health Care's executives, employees, and community leaders to break ground on the company's $135 million expansion at its Brunswick Landing facility.
The expansion by Mölnlycke is supported by the Governor's Dirigo Business Incentive Program.
The Mölnlycke project will add new production lines, warehousing, and operations to assemble finished wound care dressings. The expansion, expected to be completed by early 2027, is expected to increase the company's Maine workforce by about 10%.
By expanding its U.S. manufacturing capacity, Mölnlycke said it will strengthen its supply chain resilience, mitigate risk exposure and ensure the timely delivery of products to healthcare providers and patients across the U.S. and beyond.
The facility will support Mölnlycke’s long-term sustainability goals by utilizing renewable energy sources like wind and solar power and reducing climate impact through streamlined logistics.
