Medical Manufacturing Technologies (MMT), a portfolio company of Arcline Investment Management and a global provider of medical device manufacturing solutions, announced its acquisition of Innova Design, Inc.
The acquisition further expands MMT’s suite of bonding technologies.
Innova Design is recognized as a pioneer in the laser bonding industry, credited with developing the first commercial catheter laser bonder in 2002. Now featuring its sixth generation of American-made laser bonders, Innova has been instrumental in producing millions of balloon catheters utilized in interventional medical procedures across the globe. The company has established itself as a trusted partner for medical device manufacturers in key markets including the United States, Ireland, Cost Rica, Brazil, Singapore, China, and Japan.
The acquisition of Innova’s laser bonder technology will complement MMT's existing offerings, which include hot box and split die bonding solutions. The Innova laser bonder boasts superior ergonomics and innovative laser safety features. These include a motorized revolving safety door, enhanced air cooling, linear ball screw laser traverse, integrated diode pointer, beam shutter, and multiple sample holding system configurations.
