B. Braun today announced that it will wind down and close the B. Braun Interventional Systems Inc. (BIS) division as part of what it called continued efforts to streamline operations and focus resources on strategic priorities and core businesses.

BIS expects to continue commercial sales through March 31, 2026, and the company said there is no immediate disruption to product supply. During the transition, BIS will continue supporting its customers and will work with suppliers to develop an orderly transition to new distributors where appropriate.

"Our priority throughout this transition is to support our employees and minimize disruption for our customers, healthcare providers and the patients they serve," said B. Braun Corporate Vice President Bob Sowinski in a statement. "We are grateful for the dedication and expertise of the BIS team and for the long-standing trust of our customers, suppliers and business partners."

BIS will communicate directly with customers and suppliers as transition plans are finalized. Customers should continue using their existing BIS sales and customer service contacts for questions regarding products, availability and open orders.

B. Braun Interventional Systems' portfolio consists of angioplasty and valvuloplasty, congenital and structural heart, percutaneous drainage, vena cava filters, vascular access and interventional accessories.
