Medline has announced plans to open a new medical product distribution center in Van Buren Township, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit.

The approximately 800,000-square-foot facility represents a new company investment in Michigan and the overall Medline distribution network, adding capacity and operational flexibility as Medline invests to support its own growth and the evolving needs of healthcare providers across all points of care.

"This investment in Van Buren Township reflects Medline's continued focus on strengthening our Michigan distribution network and investing in our people," said Billy Abrams, executive vice president of supply chain solutions at Medline, in a statement. "The new facility allows us to add capacity and flexibility in a key Midwest market while giving our teams more tools, resources and support to serve healthcare providers across Michigan and the broader region."

Ashley Capital, a developer and operator of logistics real estate, is leading development of the Van Buren Township site.

"We're excited to support Medline's continued growth in Michigan through the development of this new facility at our Crossroads Distribution Center North industrial park in Van Buren Township," said Kevin Hegg, vice president at Ashley Capital, in a statement. "This project represents a significant investment in the region and reinforces the importance of modern industrial infrastructure in supporting job creation, supply chain efficiency and long-term economic growth."

The new facility is expected to house many of the same technologies already in use at other Medline facilities and is expected to begin serving customers in late 2028 across Michigan.
