AirStrip, a provider of clinical surveillance, decision support, and alarm management solutions, announced the acquisition of FifthEye, the developer of the FDA-cleared AHI System —a software platform that predicts hemodynamic instability before it becomes apparent in traditional vital signs.
The AHI System enhances clinical decision-making by analyzing non-invasive ECG signals in near real time, providing a dynamic view of a patient’s hemodynamic status. By identifying subtle physiologic changes earlier than standard monitoring tools, AHI enables clinicians to intervene sooner—potentially preventing adverse events and improving outcomes.
The acquisition of FifthEye follows AirStrip’s recent expansion efforts, including the launch of its Alarm Management middleware solution and the acquisition of DECISIO Health, a provider of critical care decision support tools. Together, these developments reflect AirStrip’s strategy to unify advanced analytics and clinical context into a single platform.
AirStrip’s portfolio is anchored by AirStrip ONE—a vendor-agnostic, HIPAA-compliant platform offering native mobile and web applications, medical device integration, and actionable surveillance. The addition of AHI strengthens this ecosystem by helping clinicians identify which patients require increased attention and which are improving.
